Estate planning lawyers are no longer immune to malpractice suits in South Carolina. According to SC Lawyers Weekly article, some lawyers are “trumpeting the court’s landmark decision in Fabian v. Lindsay, and some probate lawyers fear that the Oct. 28 ruling will expose them to frivolous lawsuits from people who are upset about being disinherited.”
