Bland Richter is pleased to announce the resolution of an action against one of its clients arising out of a proposed 1,100 acre development near the Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. In this contested lawsuit, it was alleged that Bland Richter’s client, a large Charlotte-based homebuilder and developer, had caused a development group, in which he was alleged to have been a Managing Member, to default on a $93,000,000 land deal, thus causing tens of millions of dollars in losses. In the settlement Bland Richter’s client paid no money. ( 2007 )
