On April 19, 2019, Judith Stover was traveling along Highway 221 in Greenwood, South Carolina, on her way to work at Walgreen’s Pharmacy. As she approached the intersection of Highway 221 and Center Road in the early morning hours, a logging truck hauling wood owned by Wood Haulers, LLC, attempted to enter Highway 221 from Center Road by crossing over Stover’s lane of travel. Blinded by the truck’s headlights and not appreciating that the trailer remained in her lane of travel, Stover struck the trailer. Judith Stover died at the scene as a result of her injuries. She was 75 years old.
