Bland Richter Files Response on Behalf of Brian Musgrave in Defamation Lawsuit Against Congresswoman Nancy Mace.

CHARLESTON, SC, JULY 25, 2025 – In response to Brian Musgrave’s defamation lawsuit against Congresswoman Nancy Mace, Representative Mace asked the Federal District Court in Charleston, South Carolina to substitute the United States of American in her place as the party being sued and then to dismiss the lawsuit.  Today, Brian Musgrave has filed his response to Mace’s motions.  In short, Musgrave rejects the contention that blackmail and defamation represent conduct that fall within the course of scope of Ms. Mace’s employment as a member of the United States Congress and further rejects the idea that the American taxpayers should pick up the tab after Ms. Mace’s campaign to destroy his reputation.  These matters are now entrusted to the Federal District Court for determination.  Mr. Musgrave anxiously awaits his day in Court.  Copies of the filings can be found below.  -Ronnie Richter and Eric Bland.
