Bland Richter has been successful in getting the Justice Department and FBI to investigate the shooting death of their unarmed teenage client by a Seneca, SC Police Officer for civil rights violations.
The department issued a statement Wednesday night saying that the FBI’s Columbia field office and U.S. Attorney would open a civil rights investigation, and that it would “run parallel to the state’s investigation.” The department said it wouldn’t make additional comments because “this is an ongoing matter.”
Bland Richter welcomes this investigation and Ronnie Richter thinks “should be good for all parties involved.”
